兴隆热带花园位于海南岛东南部，中心点处在北纬18度，东经110度，为世界三大热区之一的印尼－马来热带区北缘，所处的地区面临南海，受热带海洋气候的影响， 属热带季风气候。 热带花园于1992年开发建设，占地面积400公顷。目前，花园物种3400多种，其中珍稀濒危植物65种，引进栽培珍稀濒危植物8种，列入《中国植物红皮书》的27种。园内的海南苏铁迁地保护区，是我国仅有的两个苏铁迁地保护区之一。 花园的开发建设被确定为国家旅 游优先发展建设项目，是我国政府确定的四个环境生态示范教育基地之一和物种基因库，“热带雨林恢复”获得国家引智基地，1997年被我国政府向联合国推荐为“全球环境500 佳”评选项目，2002年被中国侨联授予“科教兴国示范基地”荣誉称号。 A Brief Introduction To XingLong Tropical Garden
XingLong Tropical Garden is located in the southeast Hainan Island, the central point in latitude 18 degrees N, 110 °E, for world of Indonesia-Malay tropical area northern fringe being one of world three big tropicas district, what be got along area is confronted with Nanhai Sea, accept the tropic marine climate effect, belong to the tropical monsoon climate．
The garden was fo unded in 1992, covering an area of 400 hectares.At present, the garden species grows much reach 3400 kinds, 65 kinds rare and endangered species among them, introduce 8 kinds cropping rare and endangered species, list in 27 kinds of “Chinese Plant Red Book”.  In the garden, Hainan cycad moves field protected area, be our country only two cycads move one of field protected area． Theconstruction of the garden has been listed as one of the key tourist projects by the Chinese government and also is one of the four bases of environmental education and seed gene bank.“the tropical rain forest restores”gaining the glory of country attracting the wisdom base,In 1997 it's been recommended by the Chinese government to UN as one  of the “500 Best Environmental Project of the World” In 2002 it's honored with the title of “Demonstration Base of Science and Education” by the All-China Returned of Overseas Chinese Foundation. |
